Housing Rights is unable to undertake to assist in every case presented to it. Prior to agreeing to take on a case on behalf of a client, the following criteria will be considered:
- whether the case falls under our core area of work,
- whether the case is of appropriate complexity,
- whether a satisfactory resolution is achievable,
- what is the potential consequence to client,
- what is the strategic importance of the case,
- is there a duplication of service with another agency,
- is there a conflict of interest,
- would a different agency be more appropriate to deal with the case,
- what is the level of risk, and
- timing of referral.
