You must complete the work within 12 months of receiving formal written approval from the Housing Executive. The Housing Executive will inspect the work and issue a 'certificate of completion' if it is up to standard. You will then receive the grant money.
Interim payments
The Housing Executive can award interim payments while work is being carried out. The Housing Executive will normally only make the first payment when at least 25% of the work has been completed to standard. You can apply for further payments as the work continues.
Contact your local Grants Office for more information on getting interim grant payments.

I'm unhappy with the standard of work
It is usually best to try and sort out your problems quickly and locally. Contact your local Grants Office to explain your problem. You can either telephone or write to your local Grants Office. The staff at the Grants Office should try and deal with your problem as quickly as possible.
If the Grants Office isn't able sort out the problem, you can then use the complaints procedure. Contact the Grants Manager for your area.
