The grants application procedure
Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

Funding for grants oher than the Disabled Facilities Grant and the mandatory Repairs Grant will only be approved in exceptional circumstances.

New applications for discretionary grants are unlikely to be approved, except in extraordinary circumstances. To be regarded as an exceptional circumstance the property in question must usually pose a significant risk to the health or safety of the people who reside in it.  The Housing Executive may not even agree to accept any new preliminary enquiries for discretionary grants, until sufficient funds become available.

If you are applying for a Disabled Facilities Grant you will need to get a recommendation from an Occupational Therapist.

If you are a landlord applying for a Repairs Grant, you will need to submit the statutory Notice you were served with by your local council.

Contacting a Grants office

If you think your home meets the exceptional circumstances described above and you want to know if the Housing Executive would consider awarding you a grant, you should contact your local Grants office.

You can contact any of the Grants Offices by phone by calling the Housing Executive's switchboard on 03448 920 900.
