If you meet the four homelessness tests you will be given Full Duty Applicant status. Full Duty Applicants are entitled to permanent accommodation from either the Housing Executive or a housing association.
If no permanent accommodation is available you are entitled to temporary accommodation until suitable permanent accommodation becomes available. Your personal belongings will also be stored until you find permanent accommodation.
If your homeless status was awarded on account of a ‘restricted person’ in your household, the Housing Executive will only have to present you with one offer of private rented accommodation.
What other help is available?
The Housing Executive doesn’t only help by providing accommodation. If the Housing Executive decides that you are homeless it may store your personal belongings. More
Temporary accommodation
