Repairing your home Print E-mail

You may be able to get help from the Housing Executive to repair the damage caused by the attack.

Emergency house repairs

The Housing Executive may carry out temporary repairs to make your home secure if your home has been seriously damaged or destroyed in the attack. Contact your Housing Executive District Office immediately if your home needs repaired.

Home repairs assistance grant

You can apply for a Home Repairs Assistance Grant for basic household repairs. This grant can be used to install basic security measures if:

  • you are eligible to apply for a grant
  • you are over 60 years of age
  • the police have recommended that you get the grant

Hate incidents practical action scheme

If your home has been damaged as a result of a hate crime or hate incident the Housing Executive may be able to carry out minimum repairs to secure the property through its Hate Incidents Practical Action Scheme. To qualify for this scheme, you must first report the repair to the police on 0845 600 8000.
