Flooding Incident Line 0300 2000 100

The Flooding Incident Line is available year round, 24 hours a day.  It is a central point for reporting flooding.  When you report an incident, the operator will alert NI Water, the Rivers Agency and the Roads Agency, as necessary.

Dealing with floods

There are steps you can take to minimise the risk of flooding to your home.  Belfast City Council’s website has detailed advice on

Emergency financial assistance

If your home has been affected by a flood, you may be entitled to an emergency assistance payment from your local council.  Payments can be made if your home was affected by flooding between 01 April 2013 and 31 May 2013.

Your home must be inspected by council officers before you can receive this payment.  Do not throw out any damaged items as you may need to show these to the council.  Contact your local council to find out how to request an inspection.
