If you own or rent your home from a private landlord you may be able to get a grant to help you carry out repairs to your home. Specialist agencies may be able to help you with your application.

Even if you don't want o apply for a home improvement grant you may be able to apply for a crisis loan, community care grant or budgeting loan.

Housing grants

If you own your home or rent from a private landlord you may be able to get a grant from the Housing Executive to carry out repairs to maintain the standard of your home. You can't apply for a grant if you are a Housing Executive or housing association tenant. More >

If you own or rent you home from a private landlord you may be able to get help from Eaga to keep your home warm. More >

Help with adaptations

There are two agencies in Northern Ireland who can help you apply for a home improvement grant – Shelter Northern Ireland and Fold Housing Trust. You will usually only get help if you are an older person or have a disability. More >
