Search help

• Start with the obvious. General terms will give you wide-ranging results. If you're after specific information - use specific terms, i.e. 'housing benefit appeals' or 'tenancy agreement'.
• Watch out for words with more than one meaning. For instance, 'tenant' can be a private tenant and/or Housing Executive tenant; 'arrears' can be rent arrears, rates arrears or mortgage arrears.
• Avoid using abbreviations or slang. This can make a difference in your search results. 'DLA' will not give you the same results as 'disability living allowance'.
• Search is not case sensitive. You will get same results whether you type in RENT ARREARS or rent arrears.
• This search does not support plus and minus signs. If you type more than one word into the search box, our search tool will list articles matching that particular combination of words first and then continue with articles that match any words from your search.
• If you want to search for a specific phrase, put quotation marks around the phrase to narrow the search.
