The aim of this site is to help people find information and advice on housing in Northern Ireland. This site cannot give you information on the availability of housing in any area as we do not provide accommodation. If you have a particular question and can't find the answer on the website, you can get advice by email or speak to one of our housing advisers.
If you require advice on a housing issue in England, Scotland or Wales, you should contact Shelter.

Our General Housing Advice section is the most used section of the website and contains information on homelessness, paying for a home, finding a place to live, dealing with the Housing Executive or housing associations, making complaints, renting privately, rates, grants, intimidation, repairs, eviction, sharing your home and neighbourhood problems.
You can access the General Housing Advice section by hovering your mouse over the Advice For menu at the top of each page and choosing General Public. The General Housing Advice Menu is also available on the left hand side of our homepage.

Finding the information you need
If you can't find the information you need, use the site search. The Search box is at the top of most pages on the site and another search box is available on the right hand menu of most pages.

We want to make sure that our website is as accessible as possible and are working to bring the site in line with the Web Accessibility Consortium's AA standard. You can use the font resizer on our website to increase the size of the text. This tool is at the top of most pages on the site and at the bottom of pages on the Mortgage Debt Advice Section.
