Go to court to save your home
If you've been asked to go to court because of mortgage or loan arrears, the most important thing you can do is show up at the hearing. If you don't turn up, the judge won't be able to consider your side of the story and you run a much greater risk of losing your home. On the other hand, if you do show up you can explain the problems you've run into, can agree a repayment plan with your lender and may be able to stay in your home.
Problems paying your mortgage
If you are finding it difficult to afford your monthly payments, or your lender has started court proceedings to take possession of your home, you have no time to lose – the sooner you do something about the problem, the more options you will have for saving your home from repossession
