Help from the NI Housing Executive
If you present as homeless to the Housing Executive, it will first look into your circumstances and investigate your claim before it decides what help to give you. If you pass all four homelessness tests [1] you will be given Full Duty Applicant status.
The Housing Executive should send you a decision letter explaining whether or not you have passed all the tests. The Housing Executive aims to do this within 33 working days of receiving all the information it needs to make a decision. If the decision is negative, the letter must explain why you're not a Full Duty Applicant and tell you about your right to have this decision reviewed. If you decide to ask for a review you should chat to a housing adviser. There are strict time limits in the review process and it can be complicated so you should get advice on your options.
