LATEST: Bank of England announces interest rate rise
The Bank of England has announced that the base interest rate will increase from 0.25% to 0.5%. This means that any person with a variable rate mortgage is likely to see their monthly payments increase. It's important for people in this position to get advice urgently.
LATEST: Your Support for Mortgage Interest payments are changing
From 6 April 2018, any payments to help homeowners with the interest charges on loans and mortgage will be in the form of a loan which will have to be paid back. The Department for Communities will start writing to people who are going to be affected by this change in October 2017.
